@Andrew Glasgow – wouldn’t be my first choice, obviously. But at this point I think its so long overdue that it is important enough to overcome any female’s faults. Yep.

@Nano – I don’t need people telling me what a feminist is, thanks. If you don’t think I’m a feminist that’s your opinion. I believe in the advancement of women, and I think the way we’ve been doing it recently has been a joke. Slutwalks? Moving on.

It isn’t feminist to have a woman president at all costs. It makes her beliefs, abilities, and personhood irrelevant over the fact of her “having a vagina”.

When the right Person, who is also a woman, comes along, she will be elected.

A right-wing nutjob president of either gender will make life as a woman suck even more!

Even one who makes things worse for women (especially, not just makes things worse for all of us in general, which she probably will) in every concievable way other than serving as a symbol?

That’s not re-branding, That’s flat out stealing. The colors, the arrangement, even the font they used in their company name. Isn’t this supposed to be illegal?

Oh, and KILLDREAM…”new concept”? Are you KIDDING me? This concept has been around for YEARS in the U.S.

Someone stole every idea Dunkin’ Donuts ever had and reused it in our precious little country WITHOUT giving credit to the original business. How is that hard work? I’m not even sure they’re allowed to do that.

It’s not new, it’s not the result of the work some creative genius has done, it’s just a painfully obvious form of stealing.

It reads very well. I only have a few translations of his poems, but yours is at least as good as those. I found him today when looking up Voiculescu whose sonnet Spun unii de un ostrav vrajit is an absolute favourite poem in any language (I don’t speak Romanian). I discovered these writers, along with Arghezi and others when working in Bucharest many years ago. Romanian poets deserve to be better known. Here is another Blaga poem – De Profundis
One more year, a day, another hour perhaps
and all the roads will slip away
from under my feet, evade my steps.
One more year, a dream, another sleep perhaps
and I shall be under the earth
and lord of the bones, sleeping the sleep of the just.

I like the way he writes ‘I stopped in front of you’ is beautifuly simple and direct – I am sure you can translate that back. Congratulations and best wishes
