I wanna see this: Get Low

Hiking around the James Dilley Preserve
Woo! I liked this hiking trip. It was a great workout and I got to see the largest natural lake in Orange County. The lake is pretty big but tiny compared to lakes in Georgia or other places. It felt good to go up and down the hills and through the desert. There were lots of forks in the road and there weren’t always signs, but as Dary says, “This isn’t a hike, it’s an adventure!”
Good day. :)

One of my favorite animal characters from a Song of Ice and Fire is Ser Pounce. Although he doesn’t do much, I love the name and context of being Tommen’s kitten. I love Tommen’s personality. Lady Whiskers and Boots just don’t measure up.
“Ser Pounce caught a mouse,” he told her, “but Lady Whiskers stole it from him.”
“Ser Pounce must learn to defend his rights,” she told him. “In this world the weak are always the victims of the strong.”
Made this on the Cintiq in probably 30 minutes. :) Ser Pounce eats fish, carrots, birds, and love. From a bowl with an emerald on it. Cersei got it for him.

This was my second time at Peking Dragon, and I have to say I was pretty impressed. First time I went, I didn’t remember much of what I ate so I didn’t have a very solid opinion. This time, we ordered more. For starters, their brown rice is amazing. Really huge yummy kernels, sticky, easy to eat and didnt taste fatty at all. Then we shared a Peking Lemon Salad. This was really good but a bit overpriced at $9.50 for the small container it came in. Although, the setting is pretty nice and this is an average price for a salad at a restaurant in these parts.
One of my favorite elements of Peking is that they encourage plate sharing. They actually have certain meals that are meant for multiple people. This is, according to them, in Chinese tradition.
Then we had the Peking classic lo mein dish – pretty good, not very meaty but it had a bit of shrimp, chicken and beef. This dish was pretty fatty. They serve some of the best Green tea here. I’ll go so far as to say it is the best green tea in Dana Point.
The tea and the rice were very cheap (a few dollars each) and they are the best part of this restaurant. Although it doesn’t hurt to have a salad or an entree when you are here. I still haven’t tried their soup menu – from the looks of their soup, it might be another of their strengths.
My fortune cookie said I am a food and drink connoisseur, so I thought it would only be appropriate if I wrote a review ;)

This is Kai or Kanzi (which means treasure in Swahili). She’s a shaman type character central to the Juniper story.
Made with the Cintiq. Lots and lots of re-draws. I kinda want to make her older, but it might be more appealing if she’s young. Bleh. Whatever. I’ll stress out about it on a later date.
Yep, I’m pretty sure her hair is gonna stay that way. If you think my characters aren’t gonna have awesome hair, you’re wrong. After all, hair is the window to the soul. I’m gonna figure out a way to sneak that line into the script .. :)

You guys know how much I love Magritte. I like all surrealist art but I have a soft spot for him because I love his art on top of the stuff he says about his art. He’s one of the first to enter that post modern era of things you say about art might be more important than the art. Anyway, so below “Ceci n’est pas une pipe” means “this is not a pipe.” The meaning is that this isn’t a pipe, instead it is a picture or representation of a pipe. (I looove Magritte.) Anyway ..
I also love Mario so…
:)
Giggle.

Maybe its a weird angle but look at her waist & her head. It looks so disproportionate. BTW this pic is from Comic Con today. Comic con seems to be about everything these days.
One of the coolest people alive: Lenny Lipton
Lenny Lipton is an awesome tech guy that has over 25 patents in the area of stereoscopic film-making. If you’ve seen a Real-D movie (aka a 3D movie that was not in IMAX), you’ve seen his technology at work. He’s made lots of small independent 3D movies that work with Real-D technology. He recently quit Real-D to start another venture that will enable 35mm projectors to display 3D movies.
On top of that, he wrote Puff the Magic Dragon which became a #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in early 1963. It was performed by Peter Paul and Mary (and Peter Yarrow, who knew Lipton and the song from college). He still receives songwriting royalties. He wrote it his freshman year at college.
I love people that have so many different talents and manage to be successful in all of them. Hence, Lenny Lipton is one of the coolest people alive.
I’m gonna go drink some Lipton tea in his honor.

Can’t really recommend this movie. It’s not really animation, it’s rotoscoped live action. The plot and the writing was occasionally interesting but overall pretty dull. It was probably too stream of consciousness and too … hipstery. It was definitely original and unique but the pros don’t outweigh the cons. At times it was barely watchable. The 2nd half is better than the 1st half.

Wrong.
