Today I am 7220 days old.
Today is the last day of the first decade of the second millennium. Basically, today is just another day. Victor is impressed. He must’ve seen my new hair color. Tonight I’ll probably grab a burger or eat some other unhealthy food while watching How I met your Mother, or working, or perhaps sleeping.
As far as shopping goes, I bought two things today. I saw these items almost a year ago and fell in love with them, but held back to save money. They went on sale today, but it was still a little pricey. I decided to get them instead of getting cheaper junk. Might as well spend more for something you truly love, right? Here are the two items I got:
They were created by a young jewelry designer from Istanbul named Gokce. She’s won numerous awards. Her style is simplistic, yet precise. I added her on facebook, but I think she turned me down. Heh.
Noemi’s Fascinating Questions
What happens if you get amnesia and you need money out of the bank for healthcare, but you don’t know your PIN #?

Part of me doesn’t.
And yet another part of me needs to get to work on promoting Jumpino. And that didn’t count.

Is it just me or is this blog turning into a narcissistic black hole of noeminess? Here’s the last picture of me with medium blonde hair. Tommorow I am going red.
I will do something artsy and post it soon. Please don’t hate me, readers! (My stuffed animals read this, I’m sure.)

They sparkle like crazy. Now I want to add crystals on everything. Watch out, Leo.
Better late than Never
I ordered myself some jewelry directly from a Chinese manufacturer I’ve learned to love over a month ago. I thought it would get here by Christmas, but alas, they are telling me it will be here on the 29th, which is of course, better late than never. They are also telling me outgoing mail from China this year was enormous, and slowed down a lot of the small manufacturers like this one.
ANYWALRUS, here’s what I got!
Note: It’s all gold over silver. I did not hit the jackpot.
This lovely bangle

Teardrop earrings

And last but not least, a silver freeform necklace, which my mom might steal if she likes it:

One negative aspect of buying online is that you dont get to touch and see what the product is like. Sometimes its not like you imagined. This can be bad (the quality is off ) or good (the design is much better than you expected.) One great thing of buying online is the price. Everything above cost me a little over $25 with shipping and all.
Can’t wait to get this for Second Christmas! (It’s like second breakfast, but less fattening.)

My hair is normally darker, but here it is without any styling. My eyes are still swollen but not as much, but I did black and white to hide the redness. Sneaky Noemi :] I like the idea of taking a picture a day. It might get interesting.

Yes, my eye is swollen, and yes I love my crimper. There’s nothing like an afro that will spruce up a bad day. However the mess above, is not conductive to the cause of crimping irons.
PS. to self: NICE ROCK!

First, sorry for the overblogging, I’m just starting to get a hold of it. Anywalrus, I’m always skeptical when it comes to “premium” beauty products. Alot of times it just seems to be the same thing as cheaper alternatives, with much nicer packaging. I’ve learned alot of the chemistry behind beauty products, so I like to research this stuff. Here goes my try of China Glaze.
For those of you that don’t know, China Glaze is a bit more expensive than regular nail polish, but not too much. Actually if you catch a sale or something at Sally’s it will be almost the same price. Alot of people are all gaga over this stuff, and the colors are phenomenal (they have an entire NEON line, it’s like they made it for me). I bought two colors: Turned up Turquoise and White on White. Here’s what the Turq looked like after 2 coats and a top coat:

If you can ignore my chubby fingers, you can tell the color is very bright, just like I like it. Now, there are other polishes that get this bright/deep/true color effect. Here are the main differences:
Strong Polishes I’ve used Before:
- Needs only 1 coat
- Stains the bed of my nail
- Sometimes causes pain in the bed of my nail (I know … WTF)
China Glaze:
- Requires 2 coats to get the bright color. It’s easy to do this.
- Doesn’t have alot of gloss, so you need a top coat for gloss.
- Really thin, yet intense pigment.
- Dries very fast and evenly.
After trying it a bit, I think I prefer China Glaze. Some people say it doesn’t chip, however I had chipping as usual. I like that it’s thinner because it doesnt feel so thick like I have a fake nail on or something. Anyway, if you’re on the fence, I think you should try it. I’m not gonna go out and get every color, but I’ll definitely try a couple more. I have a really pretty lime green from a brand called ICE (i think?) but it stains my nails every time, even with a base coat. ): so sadzz
Anyway, I had a similar experience when I wasn’t sure if boxed haircolor was really all that bad since salon color ruins hair too. I’ll maybe write about my findings in that domain later… (here’s a hint: it really is all that bad)

Victor is an online robot that learns how to feel emotions from human interaction and response. This project is something me and my brother came up with and is near release. Here’s the current version of what VICTOR looks like.

I pretty much outdid myself here. Where’s my Nobel for web design? I’ll wait.
